Graduation.

Been waiting quite some time, trying to come up with some profound thoughts on graduation... To leave people feeling in awe of the weight of the words.. but i don't have much to say.
To graduate, is to elevate at a certain pace. Not speedily, but steadily.
You wont necessarily beat the hare, but you'll beat the tortoise in speed.
To graduate.. what does that mean?
Spanish.. Degrees is Grados. That's temperature wise.
But wait, what does it mean?
Steps, levels, something that can signify an increase or decrease, or higher and lower.
Something that have different meanings at different levels.
Low grados... quite cold..
High grados.. you're on fire..
Kinda like grades... Kinda like degrees.
See terms have meaning beyond their everyday use.
The metaphors that can be used to describe 'graduate' are deeper than at first glance.
Graduate... grados... grades.
In everything.. grade A is the best..
High degrees are better also (despite the deaths from heat exhaust).
There's nothing like getting to the top.
There's nothing like receiving recognition for things that you did..
There's nothing like being on fire in the end.. even when you felt oftentimes so so cold..
and so far away from making it to that day of... graduation.
I said it was steady.. never said it was easy... never said it felt steady either.
Rocky is what it feels like. There are bumps even in plains. It just appears to be a straight line in the horizon.
Hindsight is always 20/20. The frustrations we go through to elevate ourselves
always seem worse when in it... but when we've passed it... it is then that it doesn't seem so bad.
It is only until we experience more struggle that we appreciate what we've passed.
See all I have said is that..
the steps to graduating.. are passing..
passing through the failures, the struggles, the successes... passing the time...
and realizing that you passed it all anyway!
You've obtained your degree and can now appreciate it!
And it is when you come to a crossroads... in need of elevating ourselves..
that you begin to realize how important these steps were... these 4 yrs were..
your degree is..
You've graduated. to another level. that you weren't before.
And though there were graduations before and there may be some after...
where you are at now... You have never been before and without, there could be no after.
Con-grad-ulations.
